Standing Up For Sheffield 2016

Launch01.jpgJeremy Corbyn, Leader of the Labour Party was at Shiregreen Community Centre today to launch LabourSheffield’s 2016 Election Campaigns.

A busy election period will see Labour seek to win Campaigns to elect Gill Furniss in the forthcoming Brightside & Hillsborough Parliamentary By-Election, win control of the Council in the 2016 Local Elections and re-elect Alan Billings as the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

JC_JD_Launch.jpgA packed hall heard Jeremy Corbyn champion real ‘British Values’ which are currently under attack from the Tory Government, urging voters to back Labour’s vision for a better future. Noting the contribution Sheffield has made and continues to make to progressive politics, Jeremy cautioned against supporting other parties that only boost the Tory agenda.
